I took a quick trip down to Portland last week and brought my trusty ol' holga. (The pictures with the birds were shot in Seattle.) I'm always holding my breath from when I drop the film off to when I pick it up because no matter how well I think I know my equipment there is always a little 'what if' creeping around in my head. Always a pleasure when an image pops up on the roll. ..And doesn't it just really come down to shape line and texture? Something taught in any first photography course. Oh so poetic.

Seattle Center
I attended Seattle Cherry Blossom & Japanese Cultural Festival this past weekend and though these photos don't exactly convey the reasons for going to the Seattle Center.. they are my favorites from the day.

drum roll please......
The new site is up and running!! Phew. That took me a little while. Thanks for hangin in there ;) Special thanks to Peter Fletcher at egobuilders.net with the dropdown menu. Lots of work up as well as some things I'll be experimenting with. There are a few tweaks I'll be doing here and there but for the most part it is done and done... which makes me feel like I'll be getting much better sleep. Woo hoo!
and p.s. - i caved & got a facebook! ....and so it begins....

Tulip Farms
One of my new years resolutions is to step away from the computer and explore the NW. I've made a list of things I want to visit in and around Seattle and the tulip farms was at the top of the list! This place is so beautiful and if you ever get a chance to go... you totally should. There are about 300 acres of flowers flowers flowers. Every color of tulip you can imagine.. daffodils, irises. It's gorgeous.
and you so purty fabe!
